Hi there, I need some advice please...we have a prenatal urine drug screen battery that is performed in our Chemistry dept. If any of the drugs come up positive, it is handed off to another department to be sent out for confirmation, which is then resulted in that same battery.
Anyway, the Chemistry techs say that if all parts of the battery (our battery code is DRUGC) are pending, they would like to see it on their monitor after 3 hours. If it is partially resulted (indicating that one or more drugs was positive, it is being sent away for confirmation, and therefore no longer "in their hands"), they don't want it to show up.
Is there a way to build a filter for this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok the first one is easy. All you would have to do is create a filter to exclude DRUGC unless the process time exceeds 3 hours. It would look like this:
On the second filter, I may need more info. You say the battery is DRUGC, does the OL log show each test within the battery or just the battery?
There is a 'Partial' field on the OL log that may or may not be of use. You will have to test with a newly ordered DRUGC and take a look at the Partial field, if it is blank this is good. If it gets a '%' immediately upon ordering we will have to approach this another way. You should turn on the Partial field in OL monitor so you can watch when and whether it changes during test resulting. Under misc options check the partial field:
Order a test DRUGC and watch the partial field. If it behaves correctly this field will display a '%' only when partial results are entered as you described.
The filter would look like this:
also an exclusive filter.
Hope that helped, if this doesn't work I will probably need a problem report to help you further:
Step 3A: http://olmonitor.com/support.html
Good luck!
