May 20 2007 The website has undergone a long-overdue
overhaul. The main website has been recreated with standards-compliant
css and xhtml. Keep an eye out for future changes including
a new forum, a blog, and more.
January 18 2007 The VIM is now a stand-alone program and
the classic version is being phased out. Support for the
classic version has been discontinued. See the VIM Version
History for a detailed list of program changes.
May 19 2006 Multiple improvements to the installer
have been made to make using Ol Monitor easier. A shortcut
that opens a separate Smarterm session is now automatically
created on the desktop. This makes it easy to alt-tab
back and forth between your work and the OL Monitor display.
Shortcuts to folders containing the macro files, and for the
Enterprise version shortcuts are made to your Buttons, Hotspots,
and sound files. The session files have been modified
to fix the "The specified server could not be found" error when
running the program the first time. Various bugs with
the Ol Monitor VIM also have been fixed.
March 21 2006 The long-anticipated Ol Monitor Visual
Interface Module is now complete. Click

September 30 2005 The Michigan Society for Clinical Laboratory
Sciences website featured an article by Paul Guthrie about how
using OL_Monitor helped to improve turn-around times.

August 2 2005 Multiple improvements to error logging.
Processing is now performed after a restart of Smarterm.
June 15 2005 The 385 record limit has been increased to
1000. This was the source of the occasional "out of string
space" errors. Installer revised.
June 3 2005 New FTP option; sending an error
report is now extremely easy! After the report is generated
you can have Smarterm automatically FTP the files to me.
Improved file handling. There was a problem with non-standard
date formats - fixed. Various other minor improvements.
April 14 2005 The "Gatherer.exe" program is now
included in all installations and will be invoked every time
you have an error. There was a bug with Inclusive filters
- fixed. A bug that was causing the problem report file
not being saved correctly in some cases was fixed. The
new Patient ID Control option was not getting enabled by option
screen - fixed.
March 30 2005 Version 2.96: Problem with long patient
names spilling over into patient id field... new "Patient ID
Control" options added to prevent this from happening.
Problem with OL log script hanging up on a few people now fixed.
Error logging function improved.
March 19 2005 Version 2.94: Added "Show Taskbar" option,
runaway log handling improved, removed defunct "Network logfile
upload" and "shared drive" options, and various other minor
improvements.
November 30 2004 Version 2.94: Added buttons
to move filter packets up and down on the "Ol_Mon_Configurator"
screen. The sequence of your filter packets is very important.
Fixed a bug with sorting spaces not being inserted on the bigger
(1024X768) sized screen.
November 15 2004 Version 2.92: Logon function
improved. A newer version of Sunquest does not print a status
column- problems resulting from this have been fixed.
Better error reporting. Strange problem with newer Sunquest
printing a "runaway log", resulting in a huge file missing information
- macro now skips these "runaway logs"- Thanks to Paul Alexander
from Munson Medical Center for finding the problem!
November 3 2004 Version 2.90b: New feature allows
you to list only the lab departments you wish to monitor.
The lab department is listed on the outstanding log at the top
of each page.
October 25 2004 Version 2.90a: A multitude of
improvements have been made over the last few months...

No more .ini file! New version uses the registry to store
your configuration.
Expanded compatibility with Sunquest versions and configurations,

October 8 2004 Version 2.86: Now you can
select from 2 screen sizes: 800X600 or 1024X768. The larger
screen size also allocates more space to display the entire
priority (I.E. "Emer" rather than "E").
April 28 2004 Version 2.81: New sort option added:
you can now sort by location. Sort algorithm performance
optimized significantly!
September 18 2003 New support forum added. Various
bugs fixed in macro. Website updated again.
August 20 2003 Website updated with new installation
instructions and information regarding
HIPAA
July 24, 2003 Filter packet code modified, you can
now limit list to only one location, priority, etc.
22 June 2003 New website up and running. All
new look, more organized, and more useful content.
21 June 2003 New web host selected, more storage space
will allow for better online help.
14 June 2003 Finally! Filter packets can now filter
based on TIME! Time filters will be available with the
next version.
7 June 2003 OL_Monitor now completely compatible
with Smarterm version 11.0.
